Preparing our Southern Style Oats in your own kitchen is simple:
On the Stove Top:
In a medium sauce pan, boil 1/2 cup water or milk. Stir in 1/4 cup oats. Simmer about five minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally until tender. Let rest for 1 - 2 minutes before serving.
In the Microwave:
Combine 1/4 cup oats and 1/2 cup water or milk in microwave safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH for 2 to 3 minutes. Stir before serving.
